During my time at Astound Commerce, I played a key role in enhancing the online platform for Halfords, a leading UK automotive service and parts retailer. I was instrumental in developing a user-friendly vehicle registration number (VRN) lookup and a custom booking calendar.
Key Achievements
This project was focused on simplifying the customer journey for booking car services. My main achievements include:
- VRN Module Interface: I developed the front-end for a Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) lookup system, allowing users to easily find compatible parts and services for their specific vehicle.
- Custom Booking Calendar: I engineered a bespoke reservation calendar that provided a seamless and intuitive experience for customers scheduling appointments, significantly improving the booking conversion rate.
The technologies used were primarily HTML5 (PUG), SCSS, and JavaScript within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) environment.
